As most of you know, i have replaced my intake with some experimental piece. i like it.

As per the advice of LUNDGREN, i decided to change the filter. Knowing i can use a much LARGER filter now, due to location, i went out and bout a 30 some dollar K&N piece. I Really didnt expect any gains, jus maybe more efficient.

Well, after pulling the intake off, and pulling the filter off, i removed the "heat shield" off the RACTIVE FILTER. What i saw was AMAAAAAZING! Picture the RACTIVE filter as a "tee-pee" design with a chrome "knob" at the top. OK? The filter was being COLLAPSED!!!!!!! Yes, the filter was destroyed due to the inhilation of the JRSC! The metal "spine" of the filter had to bends in it, and had cracked. Ill take a picture sometime, cause you GOTTA see it!

Anyhooo...the new larger K&N seems to work pretty good. Same sound, same power, LOOKS BETTER biggrin . May have been the weather, or ME, but shift changes seemed more responsive, but thats jus me.....same top, mid, and bottom power.

Youll jus hafta SEE this old filter i replaced....AMAZING!

    Tony

You seriously should notice more boost with that style filter, but you'll only feel it above 6k for the most part, so it would be hard to 'feel'.
